This rule applies just as much to business travel as it does to tourism. A UAE based employee attending meetings in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Brussels within the same trip should apply through the consulate covering whichever city accounts for the most working days, supported by invitation letters and a detailed meeting schedule from the host company. Family visit trips that combine time with relatives in more than one Schengen country follow the same logic, with the itinerary and accommodation proof deciding which country is the main destination.

How to Plan Your Application Correctly

Before booking a visa appointment, UAE applicants with multi country itineraries should map out exactly how many nights they will spend in each country before they book anything. Flight and hotel bookings should reflect this itinerary accurately, since consulates use these documents to verify the main destination. If the stay is split evenly across countries, keep clear proof of the first Schengen country you will enter, such as the inbound flight ticket. Genuine, well documented itineraries, confirmed accommodation, valid travel insurance covering the whole Schengen area, and proof of sufficient funds all support a straightforward application.

Applying Well Before You Travel

Schengen visas can be applied for up to six months before the intended travel date, and applicants are advised to begin the process as soon as flights and accommodation are confirmed rather than waiting until close to departure.
