Urgent Slovenia Visa Appointment: UAE Applicant Guide

Slovenia has no visa application centre in the Emirates and no booking calendar, which changes what urgency even means. You cannot refresh a slot page because there is no slot page. Appointments are arranged by emailing the embassy’s consular section in Abu Dhabi, so the queue is invisible and the only lever you have is starting early and arriving correct.

Which Visa Application Centre Handles Slovenia Cases in the UAE

There does not appear to be one. Slovenia’s visa page names no external service provider, gives no Dubai address, and instructs that an appointment is required in advance by emailing the consular section. VFS did announce a Slovenian service in the UAE in 2018, but Slovenia is absent from the 2019 list of governments served at the VFS Abu Dhabi centre and there is no VFS Slovenia UAE page at all, though one exists for Slovenia in the UK, India, the United States and Australia.

Numerous Dubai agencies advertise VFS Slovenia appointments. None is an official source. The practical instruction is that Dubai and Northern Emirates residents travel to Abu Dhabi in person for biometrics.

Slovenia handles the UAE itself, which is the exception in this region: it is represented by Germany in Manama, by Austria in Kuwait City and by Germany in Doha.

Legitimate Ways to Get Seen Sooner

Email Early, Because You Cannot See the Queue

With no booking system there is no published waiting time and no availability to gauge pressure from. Silence is not evidence of capacity. Email the consular section as soon as your travel is decided rather than as soon as it is urgent.

Send Your Request Inside Consular Hours

The consular office runs Monday to Thursday 10:00 to 12:30 and 15:00 to 16:00, and Friday 10:00 to 12:00. Those are narrow windows, and a request landing outside them waits.

Print and Sign the Form Before You Travel

Slovenia requires a mandatory online e-application which must be printed and signed, and states that only a signed application is valid. There is no correction at the counter, so an error means a fresh form printed and signed again. After a trip to Abu Dhabi, that is an expensive mistake.

Bring the Invitation or Guarantee Documentation

A guarantee or invitation letter from Slovenia sits among the standard documents, alongside travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000. Missing either turns one appointment into two.

Documented Compelling or Emergency Reasons

Genuine medical, bereavement or urgent business grounds with evidence can be put to the consular section by email. Nobody can guarantee a result.

An Earlier Appointment Does Not Mean a Faster Decision

Slovenia states that applications should be lodged at least fifteen calendar days before the intended visit and may be lodged up to six months before, and that processing may take up to fifteen calendar days.

On outcomes, Slovenia refused 27.0% of UAE applications in 2025 on the European Commission’s own figures, a little above the UAE average of 23.9%. But look at what it issues: 588 of the 690 visas it granted were multiple entry, 85.2%, the highest share of any UAE post of comparable size. Slovenia is harder to get than average and considerably more useful once you have it.

One group needs none of this. Emirati nationals do not require a short stay visa for Slovenia at all.
